This is a list of fictional characters from the STAR One medical drama Dill Mill Gayye. This show follows the lives of Interns and Resident Doctors of Sanjeevani Hospital.

The charismatic veteran who is the head of Sanjeevani hospital. The one who dedicated his career to serve the patients of Sanjeevani. He is portrayed as an extremely well known surgery and all interns want to assist him in the operation theater to learn more and also to garner his appreciation though he is hard to impress. He acts really strict with the interns but also caring. Dr Riddhima and Dr Anjali are his daughters. But still they get no special treatment in Sanjeevani and he treats them as one among the interns. He plays an important role in both seasons of Dill Mill Gayye. His character was also present in the prequel (Sanjivani) as one of the main leads. He was married to Dr. Smriti who passed away. Later in the sequel Dill Mill Gayye he married Head Nurse of Sanjivani, Padma.

Shilpa Anand (2007-2008) Sukirti Khandpal (2008-2009) Jennifer Winget (2009-present) An intelligent, down to earth and good natured lady. Riddhima wants to fulfill her father's dreams by turning into a good doctor. She is seen maintaining a good balance of traditional and modern values. She also appears to be a good friend who forgives quickly. Riddhima's weak spot is Anjali, her sister and also her best friend, with whom she is seen sharing all her secrets. There is one person, who manages to bother the generally easy going Riddhima and that's Armaan. However hard she tries she just can't ignore his charm. Armaan and Riddhima fall in love and plan to marry. But in the final episode of Season I, she gets shot and becomes unconscious. Unfortunately, she was shown dead at te final episode but later reveals that she is live but her condition is critical.|-

The new age man. He comes across as a confident, efficient, cheeky and slightly arrogant. He also appears to be quite handsome. He is shown enjoying female company and makes girls go weak on their knees. Armaan seems to love the female attention he gets and maintains it well. Armaan comes from an affluent family but still is shown having family problems. He is shown as a son of a broken family. Though he comes across as fun loving and flirty, he is extremely focused on his career and wants to do well as a doctor. Armaan gradually falls in love with Riddhima and is crazy for her. He lost two years of his memory after having an accident. He forgets everyone including his love Riddhima. In the final episode of Season I, he hurts himself again by hitting his head hard on a glass surface which leaves him unconscious. Unfortunately, he was shown dead ut later reveals is alright .
Dr. Anjali Gupta	Sunaina Gulia	1'2
Elder daughter of Shashank, who is used to having her way. Her real mother was Dr. Smriti and Padma became her step mother. She is introduced as a really pretty lady who is always beauty conscious. She is also shown as manipulative. In addition she is also academically intelligent, but her strict characters stops her from being a favorite among the patients of Sanjeevani. Her ultimate dream is to become the Head of Sanjeevani like her father because this assures respect and power. She and Riddima are step sisters. In the beginning episodes, She always tried to over take Riddhima but later turned more humble and friendly. She is ready go to any extend to get what she wants.
Dr. Atul Joshi	Pankit Thakker	1, 2
He came across as a funny, confused and lovable character in Season 1. But now his character has seen a change because he failed his internship. He has become more serious, quiet and focused. He is the best friend a girl can have though he may not be the perfect boyfriend. Atul is seen a favorite among girls and they involve him in girlie talks. He also loves Anjali. He is a good natured guy who wants to become a doctor to fulfill the dream of his late father Umesh(Omi), who was part of Sanjeevani in prequel Sanjivani. Umesh suffered from AIDS which happened due to blood transfusion. His father was a doctor of Sanjeevani and a good friend of Shashank Gupta who is also the guardian of Atul.
Dr. Siddhant Modi	Karan Wahi	2
A smart,lazy and spoilt brat from a rich NRI family. Almost all of his family members are doctors, so he has been forced to become one against his wishes. He is packed off to Sanjeevani to become more focused on his career under the strict supervision of his cousin, Dr. Abhimanyu Modi. But for Sid life is a one big PS3 game. He is rarely serious about anything in life and has a laid back attitude. He never wanted to turn a doctor because it requires too much of hard work. He is a gadget freak and car lover who hates to work so, he wants to go back to his home in Houston and just relax. Sid is a total flirt who has commitment issues, he is an overgrown kid with a bad temper. The shrew who needs to be tamed. He never takes life seriously. But still he is quite brilliant and takes minimal effort to do well. He first annoys Dr. Shashank to no ends but later manages to impress him with his good qualities and intelligence.

In sheer contrast to Siddhanth Modi's is Tamanna, girl with middle class moralities. She is responsible daughter of her family, who wants to make her parents proud. She has an over emotional, caring mom and loving dad who dote over her. Tamanna is smart, intelligent, compassionate, sensitive girl with a sense of justice. She is a star among the residents of her Chawl. She always wears salwar kameez with a distinct style of her own. She is extremely focused and is working hard to become a doctor to make her father's dream true. She is quite focused on her career and wants no distractions. Her only distraction is Siddhant.
Dr. Naina Mehta	Neha Jhulka	2
Naina belongs to an affluent orthodox Gujrati family. She is the youngest among the six siblings. She always tries to be cool though she comes from a conservative family. She goes to any lengths to look cool and catch the attention of people. She hates compromises. She comes across as a convincing and shameless liar though she has no intention to hurt anyone. Her parents plan to marry her off but she wants to focus on her career. She is seen maintaining a dual identity by leaving home in salwaar kameez traditional look and then transforms into a glamorous avatar which she prefers more. she is always energetic, fun loving and bindaas. She is a chatterbox who is a bit dumb. She loves new adventures and discoveries. She is the one with a rebellious streak.
Dr. Yuvraaj	Sehban Azim	2
A mysterious character from a middle class family and has a modern outlook. Along with being a doctor, he also takes care of his family which consists of his mom and sister. He is ambitious and determined. Also blunt and serious about his work. He soon becomes the favorite of Head of Sanjeevani, Dr. Shashank. He likes to discover new things in life. He believes medical practice is both science and art which he loves. He has a wicked sense of humor. He is the most balanced and mature among the new interns. You can always be sure that he has a bright future ahead. But not many know that he hides a deep secret and motive behind his arrival to Sanjeevani. There is definitely something mysterious about him.
Dr. Jitendra Prasad	Prasad Barve	2
A loud and colorful character with a Bhojpuri accent. He is from Uttar Pradesh and was his city's topper. He made his city proud and considers himself as the hero among the new interns. But in reality everyone finds him annoying. He talks in broken English. His goof ups will always land him in trouble. He will provide comic relief to the viewers.

One of the senior doctors and also the one of the Heads of Sanjeevani. He is portrayed as a focused and strict doctor who is very serious about his work. His business partner is Dr. Shashank Gupta. In the first season's beginning, everyone hates him because of his dominating nature and they try to get rid of him from Sanjeevani but, all their efforts fail. He starts to fall for Riddhima but eventually learns that Armaan and Riddhima love each other and therefore tries not to come in their way. He and Nikita hate each other but slowly and gradually he starts liking her and finally falling in love with her. However, he has a past. Niki finds out that he's married and tries to leave him but Abhi wants a divorce because he never loved his wife.

One of the doctors who was also an intern of Sanjeevani in the previous season. She always keeps a serious face and her character is not bubbly like it was in the previous season. She acts very strict with the interns and staff of Sanjivani. She is given the responsibility of handling the interns once Dr. Kirti gets maternity leave. Niki is portrayed as a beautiful,intelligent and sensitive girl. She was in love with Armaan during her college days. When she joins Sanjeevani to complete her internship she finds out that Armaan and Riddhima love each other. This is when Abhimanyu enters. At first, both of them can't bear each other's sight. But, slowly they start developing strong feelings towards each other and fall in love. But when Niki finds out that Abhi is married, she tries to ignore him and focus on her career.

A Senior doctor in Sanjeevani and is the head for the interns since the very first day. She is very strict on the outside but from the inside she is extremely nice and caring. She thinks of her interns as her younger siblings or children. She falls in love with Dr. Shubhankar Rai and later on they get married. Season 2 shows her as pregnant and ready to take maternity leave.

The head of the cardiac department and a senior doctor at Sanjeevani. He appears to be serious during his work but still extremely funny and naive. He falls for anything the interns tell him, he can be fooled easily. He falls in love with Dr. Keerti but is scared to tell her. Finally, he proposes to her, she accepts and they get married. He has a daughter from his previous late wife - Navnita.

A typical, Punjabi chatter box who is extremely entertaining. She is seen as an intern in Season 1. She cracks jokes at the wrong time and ends up getting into trouble with Dr. Keerti. Muskaan and Rahul were enemies since a young age, however, during their internship, they start to fall in love with each other but Rahul cannot become a father and leaves Muskaan. She is heart-broken and tends to stay away from socialising much and is very depressed.

A very intelligent and smart doctor. He was seen an intern of Sanjeevani in Season 1. He and Armaan knew each other from college days but hated each other. Rahul and Muskaan, too, detested each other's presence and didn't get along. However, as the show progressed, they started coming close to each other and they fell in love while acting to be each other's spouses. Rahul finds out that he cannot be a father and leaves Muskaan but still loves her very much. He has left the show for now but might return if the story demands.

She is a simple girl from a affluent Gujrati household. She is the youngest of three daughters and has the full support of her father to follow her dreams. She doesn't want to get married early like her sister so, she makes her career a excuse not to get married too early. Her mother is possessive and nagging which embarrasses Sapna. She carries a Dabba full of Gujrathi food and shares it with all the interns. She often leaves work early to meet a potential match. She later got married and left Sanjeevani.

Padma was the head nurse at Sanjeevani and Riddhima's biological mother. However, in the beginning this fact was hidden but as Padma got sick, Dr. Shashank had to tell Riddhima. Later on, Dr. Shashank and Sister Padma fall in love with each other and then get married with the consent of Anjali and Riddhima. She left Sanjeevani then, and decided to serve her family at home. She is very caring towards both Anjali and Riddhima and loves them both very much.

He is Armaan's father who is quite young at heart. He is a complete flirt who flirts with both young and elderly women.He even has a crush on Shashank's wife and Anjali. He is a flirty and funny character who cares a lot for his son. He loved his wife too but they always end up in a fight and therefore, they took a divorce.
Jiah		1(in the final episode), 2
She is Dr. Abhimanyu Modi's wife who loves him like a maniac and is over possessive. But Abhimanyu doesn't return her feeling and keeps demanding for a divorce. Still she isn't ready to divorce him and attempts suicide.
