Kyle Academy (Scottish Gaelic: A' Chùil Àrd-sgoil) is a state-run secondary school in Ayr run by South Ayrshire Council. It is a non-denominational, co-educational school, serving some of the southern part of Ayr.
History
Kyle Academy was built in 1979 and started with 120 First Year pupils. Kyle academy currently has an attendance of 760 pupils in 6 year groups. Its main feeder schools are Forehill Primary, Ayr Grammar and Holmston Primary. After the closure of Mainholm Academy in 2006, Kyle Academy now inducts pupils from Whittlets and Dalmilling Primary.
