Talk:Scottish Wildcat

I suggest that a separate article be created for the Scottish Wildcat,Felis Silvestris Grampia, to reflect growing interest in this animal and its conservation. Rather than being of 'least concern' in terms of conservation status, as is shown on the generic Wildcat page, it is considered close to extinction, eg: BBC News: 26 April 2004: Scottish Wildcat Faces Extinction. The IUCN itself classifies the Scottish Wildcat as 'Vulnerable': see IUCN Red List of Threatened Species : IUCN 2009. Version 2009.1. Retrieved 2009-08-23. SkyeWaye (talk) 13:47, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
