You are welcome to continue editing articles without logging in, but you may wish to create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits. If you edit without a username, your IP address (84.81.177.148) is used to identify you instead.
In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}}
before the question on this page. Again, welcome!

Your recent edits
Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 10:47, 19 November 2009 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors, as you did on User talk:Gwen Gale. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 13:21, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
Please do not attack other editors, as you did at Talk:George W. Bush. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. SMP0328. (talk) 22:52, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
Please do not attack other editors, as you did here: Talk:Barack Obama. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. SMP0328. (talk) 23:05, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
- Your central point at Talk:Barack Obama was a good one: that the majority seemed to be ignoring exhaustively and reliably sourced facts and other good points raised in that discussion in favor of disproven hunches about the term. However, your personal attack was judged to be over the line by another editor and he removed the entire post. Wikipedia can really use someone with the patience and judgment to read a long and detailed thread like that and discern what's really relevant, but I hope that patience and judgment of yours can extend to depersonalizing your posts regarding the editors around here and that you don't let these warnings and reverts keep you from pointing out those failures (with a different approach) in the future. The best way to get your point across and have it remain to benefit the discussion and the article is not to pick a fight with someone right out of the gate. It's best to approach editors assuming good faith, even if you may suspect that is not their motivation; be constructively and inoffensively critical of their assertions. On those infrequent occasions when it might be appropriate to single a recalcitrant editor out, suggest they re-read a certain post and respond directly to a particular point in a direct but non-aggressive way. We would welcome your participation there if you could return with these points in mind. Best, Abrazame (talk) 09:15, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
- Well thanks for that. You are entirely correct of course. However, even as I reply to you I am uncertain if you should ever get to read it, as one of Wikipedias users has been removing the messages I put here. Which seems, to this humble soul, to be rather pointless, given that there was no offensive language used, and that action has prevented just the kind of discussion that these talk pages should be providing. I must of course assume good faith..... but in good faith I must conclude that said editor has a few things on his own page with do not meet the standard he seems to desire. Am I to be punished should I follow his example? This of course illustrates my point to a degree - I stumbled on the articles for the last two presidents as they are amongst the most edited articles on Wikipedia, and I was interested to know why. And in both cases I found a group of editors purporting to speak for @the majority@ and using language designed to trivialise the concerns of opposition, a theme which is common in internet forums (fora?) and which I find to be unsuitable for a potentially useful tool such as Wikipedia. I thank you for your time.
- Another editor has no business removing your own posts from your own talk page, as your posts here did not contain personal attacks or go beyond the pale. If it should ever happen again, you can report it to an administrator and he or she will post a warning at the other editor's page. I would take that other editor's word that it was klutzy inadvertence (something we're all guilty of once in a blue moon) that they erased those posts of yours here and drop that point with them and hope the two of you don't cross paths often, as there's nothing that can come of it but a block for you, given the repeated incidents. No offense to that other editor (or to you), but if you were to "follow the example" of a klutz, you would be doing it on purpose, which would be (not unfairly) taken for vandalism. Fight the good fight over article issues when you have referenced facts on your side, and don't get hung up over people who would inadvertently (or purposely) sidetrack you from that editorial discussion. I noticed your good recent post at the Obama talk page and hope to get the time to respond there within a day or two but it's a busy week with the holiday and there are so many crazy issues there at the moment! Happy Thanksgiving, Abrazame (talk) 12:20, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
Do not attack users
Please do not attack users as you just did to ESanchez013. If you truly have a problem with him, handle it in person, like a real man (or woman). Thanks. Keegscee (talk) 07:23, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
- Where do we begin!? Obviously you are not in possession of all of even many of the facts, as it is Ms. Sanchez who has been vandalising my talk page. And since the talk pages are the designated area for user talk I would suggest that acting "as a real man or woman" would involve a discussion there about said vandalism. So unless you have something to add, my suggestion is that you immediately cease this misguided attempt at editing advice, certainly until you have read and understood the policies involved. 84.81.177.148 (talk) 07:34, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
- Advice noted. Keegscee (talk) 07:39, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
- Having read you talk page, you are free to admit that you have been a serial vandaliser of Wikipedia, and your assertion that you now only support "constructive vandalism" is an oxymoron. Vandalism is detrimental, vandals misguided. I would hope that this serves to illustrate a point - it would be better to first discover the facts and then work with other like minded users to influence the situation in a constructive way, and to banish vandalism to the depths where it belongs. Good day. 84.81.177.148 (talk) 07:43, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive comments.
If you continue to make personal attacks on other people as you did at User talk:ESanchez013, you will be blocked for disruption. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. I don't know what happened between the two of you and, frankly, I don't give a toss. You do not attack other editors. Ever. I find it humorous that you are ordering others to read the policies. Why don't you try reading this one? If you have an issue with someone, deal with it civilly, okay? Everyone can make mistakes. I once nominated my own user talk page for speedy deletion. If ESanchez013 made a mistake, fine. Tell him that, politely, and explain what happened. Attack another editor again and I don't think people will look favourably on you.
