Walter Beach Humphrey (1892 - 1966) was a well known American artist, painter, art teacher and illustrator. He was born in Elkhorn, Wisconsin and died at the hospital in Glens Falls, New York at the age of 73.

A 1914 graduate of Dartmouth College, he studied at the Art Students League. He taught at the University of Chicago, Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, and the School of Commerce of New York University. He taught commercial art at New Rochelle High School for 22 years until 1963.
