Fictional character biography
Diamondhead was a criminal from Earth, and a member of the Terrible Trio, along with Condor and Powerhouse.[1] Diamondhead was mutated by a diamond-powered laser while attempting to steal some precious gems. He became a superstrong criminal with a hard diamond-like body. He was an enemy of Nova and the Champions of Xandar, and betrayed the Nova Corps to the Skrulls.[volume & issue needed]
Later, Diamondhead was seen as a prisoner on the Stranger's laboratory world.[2]
Civil War/Initiative
In the aftermath of the Stamford incident, all the identities of the New Warriors were publicly leaked.[volume & issue needed] Diamondhead used this information to locate Nova's parents' house at Long Island, patiently waiting around town until his nemesis returned from outer space, so that he could exact his revenge for all the years he spent in prison. Eventually, when Nova returned to Earth after Annihilation, Diamondhead attacked him. However, he was unaware that Nova was empowered by the whole Nova Force, allowing him to easily shatter Diamondhead's right hand with a gravimetric pulse before turning him to the police.[3]
Powers and abilities
Diamondhead's body is basically one large diamond, making him incredibly strong and incredibly resistant to injury and harm. According to Nova, he can regrow destroyed limbs, given time. It is unknown how much he can heal.
