I have researched on light bulbs and thermometers. I have found three different kind of light bulbs I have researched, the three light bulbs are the Incandescent Light bulb, a Fluorescent Light Bulb, and the Halogen Light Bulb. The light bulb I thought would be the best to test with is the Incandescent Light Bulb, the reason I picked this kind of light bulb is that it shines of the most light, it has a voltage power from the range of 1.5 voltage to 300 voltage, and it also would be easier to test my project with this kind of light bulb than the others. Even though I didn't choose the other light bulbs I still could of used a Fluorescent Light Bulb, the Fluorescent Light bulb would also be easy to use, but the Halogen Light bulb I couldn't. I also researched thermometers. I have found, like the light bulbs, three different thermometers I have researched on. The different kind of thermometers are, the Liquid Crystal Thermometer, the Mercury Filled Thermometer, and the Meat Thermometer. The Liquid Crystal Thermometer, is a thermometer that has heat sensitive liquid crystals that changes to different colors as the temperature changes. The Mercury Filled Thermometer, which is the thermometer I picked to use, is a thermometer that is filled with mercury, which is a liquid inside the thermometer, the mercury inside the thermometer rises as the temperature rises and lowers as the temperature lowers. The Meat Thermometer is a thermometer that measure the heat from the internal part of meat, it is usually used to measure roasts and steaks, this thermometer is not a thermometer I could of used, this thermometer has a metal probe with a sharp point which is pushed into the meat, and a dial or digital display measures the temperature inside of the peice of meat. So I have researched two main items I am using. I am going to use a Mercury Filled Thermometer and a Incandescent Light Bulb. 331
