The Indus International School is a school in Bangalore with a 40-acre (160,000 m2) campus!
The school motto is "In omnia paratus", meaning "Prepared for all challenges". The Indus School was started in 2001 by General Arjun Ray. The current principal is Mrs.Sarojini Rao and was instated in 2005-2006. The Indus School has a variety of benefits from its IB curriculum. The PYP helps children become more confident with the various programs, the PYP also includes the PYP profiles which include: Risk-taker, Knowledgeable, Open minded etc. at the end of the year the students are not only evaluated by what grades they have gotten but also if any of the profiles apply to them. The school has also adopted three village schools in the local area, the school provides them with everything from stationary to tables. Also apart of the school curriculum is a program called CAS or SLP which is the students not only interacting with village students but also teaching them subjects there teachers aren't equipped with teaching them eg. english.
Campus
The Indus International School campus is located on a 40-acre (160,000 m2) plot in Bangalore's pollution-free IT corridor.
Classrooms seat 25 students, and are equipped with play areas for pre-school, projection systems , computer facilities (most of them are not working most of the time). The sports complex (also commonly known as the Sauna room comprises an indoor stadium and an outdoor track and field stadium. The amphitheatre has a seating capacity of over 500. There are separate boys and girls hostels based on the 'house' concept. Each hostel is supervised by a houseparent.
Sports
The school provides physical activities such as basketball, soccer, cricket, table tennis, tennis, squash, badminton, athletics, etc. The institution also provides a swimming instructor. Indus hosts a tournament knows as Indus Fest and schools all over Bangalore come to compete in sports such as basketball, soccer, cricket, and other activities. Although Indus has a very good basketball team (which is a fact known widely throughout Bangalore), students have been starting to take interests in other the sports as well. Indus is also good at soccer, and the team practices everyday. Some students were even chosen represent India in the Junior Olympics at Greece!It has amazing teachers. Indus is the best school ever.
