Frits Thors (born September 13, 1909) is a retired Dutch journalist and news anchor.[1] Thors is best known has as newscaster at NTS-Journaal from 1965 until 1972.

Life
Prior to the NTS-Journaal, he had already had a long career as a radio presenter for the AVRO. He made his microphone debut in 1928. During World War II he was one of the few broadcasting employees who did not want to work for the Nazi Germany Propaganda broadcasting service in the Netherlands. In 1944 and 1945 he works for Radio Herrijzend Nederland (Radio Recovering Netherlands) which broadcasts from the already liberated south of the Netherlands.
