The Back-Up Plan (previously known as "Plan B") is an upcoming romantic comedy film, starring Jennifer Lopez and Alex O'Loughlin.[1] It is scheduled to be released in theaters in the US on April 23, 2010.[2]

Plot

The unmarried Zoe (Jennifer Lopez) is desperate for a child, and is artificially inseminated with the sperm of her male best friend. Newly pregnant, but not yet showing and still unaware, she meets Stan (Alex O'Loughlin), and the two start dating. Romantic complications ensue once she reveals to him she was pregnant when they met. The conflict is somewhat resolved when Zoe is later thrown down the stairs by Stan. Zoe dies from loss of blood during an emergency delivery of the baby and the baby is then left adopted by Stan.
