Khondakar Ashraf Hossain is one of the leading poets,[1][2] essayist and translator of Bangladesh. Born in Jamalpur, Bangladesh, in 1950, he was educated at University of Dhaka and Leeds University. He is currently Professor of English at University of Dhaka. He has published 7 (seven) Books of poetry in Bangla and 3(three) collections of Essays.
Dr Hossain regularly translates from Bangla to English and from German and English to Bangla.
Khondakar Ashraf Hossain is the Editor of a prestigious Little Magazine, Ekobingsha, a literary Journal with main focus on the New Poetry of Bangladesh. Ekobingsha has been obsereved its 25th anniversary this year.
