School Gyrls

School Gyrls are an American pop trio. Signed to Nick Cannon's NCredible Entertainment, the group starred in an eponymous movie that premiered on Nickelodeon on February 21, 2010,[1] a series of novels that will be published by Aladdin Books, and a comic book series in partnership with Archie Comics.[2]

History

Teens Mandy Moseley ("Mandy Rain"), Monica Anne Parales ("Mo'Money"), and Jacque Pyles ("Jacque Nimble") officially formed the School Gyrls in November 2008.[citation needed] They made their television debut as the School Gyrls with Nick Cannon on the season finale of E! television series Party Monsters Cabo in January 2009. The group has since been busy recording their debut album which will be released under the Island Def Jam imprint in 2010. A self titled, full length feature film written and directed by Cannon, which centers around three teen stars and their lives in high school. This movie features cameos from Reverend Run, Vanessa Simmons,Justin Bieber , Kristinia DeBarge, Soulja Boy, Angie Stone, Pete Wentz, Mathias Anderle, and others. The School Gyrls movie premiered on Nickelodeon in February 21, 2010 and is slated to air on TeenNick on March 19, 2010

Signed to Nick Cannon's NCredible Entertainment, Cannon was first introduced to Mandy Rain (daughter of actor/comedian Mark Moseley) on the set of Star Camp, the reality show produced by Cannon for Nickelodeon, where she served as the youngest member of the Star Camp group, "The Giggle Club." After Star Camp wrapped, Cannon introduced Monica Anne Parales who auditioned for "The Giggle Club",but was put in "Jam X Kids" a while ago. Then Jacque Pyles later audition for the School Gyrls, Cannnon then introduced them all and formed a dynamic all girl pop group now known as the "School Gyrls".

School Gyrls have released their self-titled debut album which came out on March 23, 2010.[3]


The first single from their upcoming album (School Gyrls) entitled; "Get Like Me" was composed by Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey. Mariah lent her voice for the backing vocals of the song.

Wednesday, April 07,2010 the public is informed that the School Gyrls are in production of the "Something Like a Party" official music video.

Bio

The School Gyrls are Mandy Rain (16), Jacque Rae Pyles (16) and Monica Parales (17). They are signed to Nick Cannon’s NCredible Entertainment company, Cannon was first introduced to Mandy Rain on the set of Star Camp, where she was as the youngest member of the group “The Giggle Club.”

School Gyrls formed in November 2008. They made their television debut finale of E! TV Show “Party Monsters” in Cabo San Lucas in January 2009 and have since released their debut album which will be released under the Island Def Jam imprint label. A full length feature film written and directed by Cannon is slated to air on TeenNick/Nickelodeon in Spring 2010. [4]
