Nipsey Hussle

Ermias Asghedom, better known by his stage name Nipsey Hussle, is an American rapper.[2] Asghedom was born in LA. He is of Eritrean descent, his father immigrated to L.A. from Eritrea where he later met Hussle’s American mother.[2] Nipsey was raised in streets of Los Angeles, California on the streets of Slauson and Crenshaw.[3]

Music Career

In 2008 Nipsey Hussle had released his mixtape Bullets Ain't Got No Names Vol. 1 and Vol. 2.[2] Later that year he was signed to Epic Records through Cinematc Music Group.[4][5] Towards the end of the year Nipsey Hussle's debut single Hussle In The House was released.

In 2009 Nipsey Hussle released Bullets Ain't Got No Names Vol. 3 and collaborated with Drake on a track titled "Killers" which was releases on BAGNN Vol. 3.1 [6] He also appeared on Snoop Dogg's album Malice In Wonderland on the track "Upside Down"[7] as well as the official westcoast remix for Dorrough's single Ice Cream Paint Job.

In 2010 Nipsey Hussle appeared on the We Are the World 25 for Haiti charity song, an updated version of Michael Jackson's single along with Snoop Dogg, Drake and more.[8]

Nipsey Hussle was featured on the cover of XXL Magazine's Annual Freshman Ten with other up and coming artist like Donnis,Jay Rock , Big Sean, J.Cole, & Wiz Khalifa .[9]

Acting Career

In 2007 Nipsey Hussle played a small role as Ricky in Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's semi-biographical film "I Tried". In 2010 Nipsey Hussle had confirmed that he would be starring the film Wrath of Cain which is to be directed by Ving Rhames.[10] [11]
