Erick Erickson is an American conservative blogger and managing editor of the blog site RedState.com. In 2010, he became a political contributor for CNN's show John King, USA

Erickson is perhaps most famous for having written about Supreme Court Justice David Souter: "The nation loses the only goat f***ing child molester to ever serve on the Supreme Court in David Souter's retirement."

Appearing on CNN on April 1, 2010, Erickson announced his intention to threaten United States Census workers with a shotgun if they showed up at his door with the following language: "This is crazy. What gives the Commerce Department the right to ask me how often I flush my toilet? Or about going to work? I'm not filling out this form. I dare them to try and come throw me in jail. I dare them to. Pull out my wife's shotgun and see how that little ACS twerp likes being scared at the door. They're not going on my property. They can't do that. They don't have the legal right, and yet they're trying."
