first the tunisian were helping their algerian independantists FLN during the ongoing algerian war.
second during this crisis the french captured US-supplied tunisian armament...

in fact the us supplied the french with military equipment (officially destined for the nato defense) but in the same time they helped the fln (the provisional in exile algerian government was in tunisia). [1] Cliché Online (talk) 10:09, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
