The 2010 Wests Tigers season was the eleventh in the joint-venture club's history. They competed in the NRL's 2010 Telstra Premiership. They had an exciting start to the season, winning the first four of five games to lead the competition with St George Illawarra, Melbourne Storm and the Gold Coast Titans. Their first try was scored by ace recruit, Lote Tuqiri with his first touch of the ball in their round one win over the Manly Sea Eagles at the Aussie Stadium on Monday Night Football. 2010 saw the return of promising back rower Liam Fulton from a short stint in England as well as former Sydney Roosters prop forward Jason Cayless[1] who just finished a four-year stay at the English Super League club St Helens. The 2010 season also saw the debut of Mark Flanagan, another Englishman at the club, joining fellow compatriot Gareth Ellis. Flanagan joined the club from Super League side Wigan. Hooker, Robbie Farah, retained his role as captain of the side for the second year.
