*In 1994, the Greek Cup Final 4 took place at Loutraki, with the 4 top Greek teams playing against each other (Semifinals: Aris - Panathinaikos 3-1 (15-08, 07-15, 15-08, 15-13), Olympiakos - Iraklis 3-2 (15-08, 15-13, 10-15, 13-15, 15-11) and Final: Olympiakos - Aris 3-0 (15-08, 15-12, 15-06)). However, because of the upcoming World Cup that was about to take place later that year in Athens, all international players where excluded by the F4 tournament. For this reason, the Greek Federation of Volleyball considers it as an unofficial tournament and does not count it as an official title won by Olympiacos S.C, although an analytical description of the matches can be found on the website, in the history of all Greek Cup Finals (http://www.volleyball.gr/index.asp?a_id=792). Hence, 1994's was a tournament Olympiacos won, and awarded with a proper ceremony. |

Olympiacos have a women volleyball team as well which was founded in 1992. Contrary to the men's team, women of Olympiacos had never played a major role until 2007, when they finished second in the Greek league and eliminated their eternal enemy Panathinaikos in the Greek Cup. In the season 2007-08 the women department reached the quarter finals of the Challenge Cup.
