"Miss Me"
Song

Background

"Miss Me" is a song by Canadian recording artist, Drake. The song is written by Drake and Young Money label mate and mentor Lil Wayne. The song serves as the third single from his highly-anticipated debut album Thank Me Later. An unfinished sample of the song was played on New York City's Power 105.1 radio station in early May. The official mastered version was released on Drake's 'October's Very Own' blog on May 24, 2010. The song is set to be released for digital download and radio airplay on May 5, 2010.

Composition

The fast-paced song prominently features both Drake and Lil Wayne rapping, with the chorus being the lone exception. The song slows to Drake's crooning, "I just hope that you miss me a little when I'm gone , I just hope that you miss me A little when I'm gone". The single is the most recent song that has been released featuring Lil Wayne, since Wayne's arrest.
