Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force is a game for the Nintendo DS released on November 25, 2008 in the US.[1] It is based on the popular Disney game, Club Penguin.

This game is about the EPF, an elite spy agency devoted to keeping Club Penguin "safe from harm". To date, it has sold more than 1.5 million copies worldwide. [2]

Plot

Players can earn coins while they play Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force on their Nintendo DS, and these coins can be transferred into their online accounts via Wi-Fi. Players can embark on missions and mini missions (help other "penguins" like construction workers, scared penguin, etc.) that use familiar and all-new gadgets, accessories, disguises, vehicles, and locations to investigate mysterious events in the Disney Club Penguin world.

The gameplay allows players to take on the role of a covert agent in Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force and to complete top secret missions only available for the Nintendo DS. Players will tackle new mini-games, such as "Snowboarding" and "Dance Challenge", and mini-games that are also available on the Club Penguin website, such as "Cart Surfer", "Jet Pack Adventure", and "Ice Fishing".

Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force also includes Disney's DGamer (will use internet, which must be setup on DSi, which allows game-players to engage with other Disney game-players on a secure online community. Players are able to wirelessly connect with the virtual Club Penguin world using the DS to unlock special features and upload coins to their online penguin personas. Players are also able to create unique 3D avatars, create a persistent profile, chat with friends, share Club Penguin accessories, earn in-game honors, unlock exclusive Disney content, and download new missions and weekly newsletters.

Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force received mixed reviews, but received 4th place in the top ten Nintendo DS games of December 2008. [3]

In 2009 Club Penguin won the ELAN award for best handheld/mobile game.

Soon, a new Club Penguin game is coming out, This one is called Herbert's Revenge. It continues the story of Herbert the polar bear and his sidekick crab (Klutzy) from the missions on the online Club Penguin. Herbert's Revenge is scheduled for release on May 25, 2010.

International Releases

The game was released on the 13th March 2009 in the United Kingdom and 23 October 2009 in Australia and New Zealand.
