Jessica Mendiola Tawile, better known by her screen name Jessy Mendiola (born on December 3, 1992), is a Filipina actress.
Biography
Early life
Jessy was born in the United Arab Emirates where her father used to work.[1] She is the second of three siblings, her mother is Filipina while her father is British-Lebanese.[2] She was three years old when her mother moved and brought her and her elder sister to the Philippines. Her mother left her father due to undisclosed reasons. Her younger sister was born in the Philippines when her parents reconciled. Her parents eventually separated for the second and last time. She remains in contact with her father, who now works overseas.[3] Jessy studied elementary along with her elder sister in Our Lady of Mercy School in Quezon City and high school in that same school.
Career
Jessy was spotted by Mr. M in when she enrolled in ABS-CBN's public acting workshop. He asked if she wanted to become an actress. She accepted it and now she's continuing her career.
In 2010, she was cast as Christina in the TV series Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo as love interest for Coco Martin's character.[4] Though her character was originally a guest to the show. But, because of good reviews on her performance her character returned to the show and was promoted to a recurring character.
She is currently appearing in Your Song Presents: Gimik 2010, playing the role of the reformed rebel Jessy. This is her first leading role in television.
