Untitled

Audio Secrecy is the upcoming third studio album by American alternative metal band Stone Sour. It was recorded and produced by the band and Nick Raskulinecz at Blackbird Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, and is planned to be release during the northern summer of 2010 through Roadrunner Records. On June 10, the band released a free download of "Mission Statement". The band's website has officially announced a release date of September 7 of this year.

Track listing

This is a list of songs which have been confirmed for Audio Secrecy thus far. All songs written by Stone Sour.

  • "Audio Secrecy" (Intro)
  • "Mission Statement" - 3:50
  • "Hesitate"
  • "Digital"
  • "Say You’ll Haunt Me"
  • "Miracles"
  • "The Bitter End"
  • "Threadbearer"

There will be two versions of the album; a normal version and a special edition (CD & DVD Digipack). The normal version will probably feature twelve tracks, although the band has worked on as many as 18 tracks total for the album.

1. "I finished my last song two days ago, and it's all killer; there's no filler. It's so good. I mean, there's so many vibes and so many styles, but it's all cohesive. The continuity is there," he said. "It doesn't sound like a comp album, it doesn't sound like 12 bands coming in going, 'We're going to record a song!' It sounds like a band exploring, which, to me, is [a] really old-school tradition.

2. "...coming in with the amount of material — we recorded 18 songs — and knowing that every tune not only has its own identity but is damn good, I'm very, very proud of that."

Inside the Studio

Stone Sour released a series of videos entitled "Inside the Studio" in which they talked about the new album and let fans watch them record. In the series, singer Corey Taylor recorded vocals for a song (later revealed to be "Digital"). Roy Mayorga drummed for a heavier track, and bassist Shawn Economaki played over a pre-recorded song.
