Nice Shoes, launched in 1996, is a New York-based full service, artist-driven design, animation, visual effects and color grading studio specializing in high-end commercials, web content, film, television, and music videos. Nice Shoes has worked on spots and campaigns for a variety of clients, such as TD Ameritrade, BlackBerry, Calvin Klein Jeans, MTV’s Video Music Awards, and Ford. Nice Shoes has a history of working on award-winning work, including NASA for NFL, the 2010 Bronze Lion winner in the Cannes Lions 'Entertainment & Leisure' category[1].

Television

Nice Shoes has done creative and technical work on various television spots for many clients, from traditional commercials for Chase and Stella Artois to more specialized projects such as the United NationsWorld Environment Day Public Service Announcement, which featured supermodel Giselle Bündchen[2]. In 2009, Nice Shoes color graded and did finishing for an MTV Video Music Awards’ promo that starred comedian Russell Brand and entertainer Britney Spears[3].

Film

Nice Shoes has also put to use its versatile skills by working on assorted feature films like Tor Myren’s documentary City LAX: An Urban Lacrosse Story, Forgetting the Girl, and Garbage Dreams. The independent documentary Arias With a Twist, which was color graded by Nice Shoes colorist Les Rudge, screened at the Berlin International Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival[4][5], Sundance Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival. Garbage Dreams, directed by Mai Iksander and shortlisted for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature, premiered at the SXSW Film Festival and was also screened at the Woodstock Film Festival, the Hollywood Film Festival, and Nashville Film Festival, where it received the 2009 Al Gore Reel Current Award[6].
