Kim Zolciak

Kimberleigh M. "Kim" Zolciak (born May 19, 1972 [1]) is a recording artist and cast member of Bravo's reality series The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Career

The Real Housewives of Atlanta

Starting on October 7, 2008, Zolciak is a main character on the reality television series The Real Housewives of Atlanta, airing on Bravo. Originally, the show was to only include five African American women, but after the producers met Zolciak they were so impressed they gave her a spot on the show. It has been one of Bravo's most successful television programs, and has the highest rating out of the series of shows. The show has become a key factor in Zolciak promoting her upcoming album and singles. The series is currently filming the third season.

Music

Zolciak started out on the show working on her debut country album. In 2009, however, Zolciak released her debut single, "Tardy for the Party", which has more of a dance beat. She has promoted the single by going on a small club tour, as well as appearing on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' to perform. She also performed the song on the 'White Party 2010' tour, touring alongside artist such as Kesha. The song managed to peak at number 20 on the iTunes Top 200, and at number 3 on iTunes Dance Chart. A music video for the song was said to be in production, but so far nothing has shown up. Zolciak has confirmed the album's 2010 release date, and says it will be a dance album, similar to its lead single. In 2010, a remix EP was released by Zolciak, featuring remixes of "Tardy for the Party." All of the remixes were produced by DJ Tracy Young, who has also been her rumored girlfriend.

KZ's Lokz

During Season 2 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, she began working on launching her own wig line, KZ's Lokz, with the help from her stylist Derek J. Kim is currently doing a VIP wig line on a custom order basis. She is also teaming up with her hair stylist to create an entire hair product line.

Personal life

Zolciak is a Connecticut native and Johns Creek resident. She attended East Catholic High School in Manchester, CT. Zolciak is divorced and a mother of two girls, Brielle and Ariana and an adopted son, Bleigh Zolciak. She openly communicates that she had a "sugar daddy," whom she refers to as "Big Poppa." Zolciak broke up with "Big Poppa" on season one of the Real Housewives of Atlanta and has been linked to billionaire Stefan Lemperle. She currently is dating NFL star Kroy Biermann of the Atlanta Falcons.
