The Acacia Strain

The Acacia Strain is an American metalcore band from Chicopee, Massachusetts. Though commonly referred to as a deathcore band, the band has aggressively rejected this stylistic label on several occasions. Originally founded in 2001, the band itself has undergone numerous changes in the member line-up. To date they have released four studio albums, as well as two split albums; one with Loyal to the Grave on which they cover the Slayer song "Seasons in the Abyss" and another with This or the Apocalypse, War from a Harlot's Mouth, Fact, and Aggressive Dogs. The band has worked with acclaimed producers Adam Dutkiewicz and Chris "Zeuss" Harris.

The band released their DVD, The Most Known Unknown, on February 16, 2010. The band has recently entered the studio to record their follow-up to Continent. On April 21, 2010, the band released their first studio update. The band has recently announced on Twitter that the new album will be released on July 20th. The title of the album, Wormwood, was announced on Prosthetic Records' Twitter[1].
