Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Scott Tattar. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. May I request the hangon template as I gather more sources from reliable news outlets in the area and add them to the article? Thank you. (talk)

If the article is tagged for speedy deletion then you can add a hangon tag and give your reason for opposing deletion on the article's talk page. However, a hangon tag merely calls attention to the fact that you have a reason for opposing deletion: it does not in itself prevent deletion. It is far better to get at least some evidence of notability before you create the article.
