Grizzly Man is a 2005 documentary film by German director Werner Herzog. It chronicles the life and death of environmentalist and bear enthusiast Timothy Treadwell. The music in the film is by British folksinger Richard Thompson.
The film, created from new interviews by Werner Herzog and drew from over 100 hours of video footage shot by Treadwell during the last five years of his life, premiered at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival. Herzog also narrates, and notably states his interpretations of the events depicted at the film's beginning and end. The film was co-produced by Discovery Docs, Discovery Channel's theatrical documentary unit, and Lions Gate Films. It was released in theaters on August 12, 2005 and was released on DVD in the United States on December 26, 2005.

Notes
- The DVD release of the film is missing an interview of Treadwell by David Letterman that was shown in the original theatrical release. However, the version televised on the Discovery Channel retains this scene.
