Coach Trip 5 is the fifth and current series of Coach Trip in the United Kingdom. The show's format has changed a bit by which the couple that received a yellow card the previous day would be immune from the following vote the next day otherwise nothing else has been changed from the previous series, excluding series four,: seven couples traveling around Europe on a coach like series one for 30 days attempting vote off the least popular couples. Tour guide Brendan Sheerin and coach driver Paul Donald both have returned for this series, which airs on Channel 4. Comedy Dave is the narrator.

Broadcasts

Series 5 began its first airing on Monday 30th August 2010 at 5:30pm. It is aired with one episode each weekday.

The Trip Day-by-Day

Arrival Day and Day 1 of the trip - Hull

It's all aboard as the tour bus embarks on another adventure, starting this time in the north of England with a spot of maypole dancing, before heading to Hull's spectacular aquarium. At the end of the day the couples voted and with three votes Yasmin & Neelofer received the first yellow card.

Day 2 - Amsterdam

It's day two and the group arrives in Amsterdam. After touring the city's canals by pedalo they learn the exotic art of burlesque dancing. At the vote Brendan drops a bombshell when he unexpectedly changes the rules of the vote, which was that the couple that received a yellow card the previous day was immune from any votes cast against them the following day, meaning Yasmin & Neelofer could not be voted for but could cast a vote against another couple themselves. After Brendan had told the news the couples voted for the second time and gave Amanda & Nicki their first yellow card with two votes.

Day 3 - Rural Holland

The coach heads for rural Holland on day three for a life drawing class in Vincent van Gogh's house. And the trippers' artistic 'talent' leaves Brendan crying with laughter. At the end of the day the couples voted for the fourth time and with Amanda and Nicki being immune from any votes cast against them it came to a three way tie between Timo & Val, Glenn & Becca and Yasmin & Neelofer, all with two votes, the couples who had not received two votes had to agree on who to give a yellow card to, after a think the couples mad a decision and chose to give the yellow card to Yasmin & Neelofer meaning they would be sent home as that was their second yellow card.

Day 4 - Bremen

The tourists head to Bremen. But on arrival a dramatic emergency call is made after one passenger falls ill, resulting in an unexpected early departure from the trip. However, the numbers are soon bolstered by some lively new arrivals. As Marg started to feel ill and was rushed to hospital Mo & Marg decided to leave in the morning over Marg's health. As it was Nick & Mark's first day they could not be voted for but could cast a vote against other couples, the dreaded yellow card fell to Glenn & Becca with three votes meaning they received their first yellow card.

Day 5 - Hamburg

In Hamburg it's day five and some familiar faces rejoin the group. After a visit to a submarine, it's all out conflict between two couples at vote time. At vote time as it was Raymond & Glenys' first day and as Glenn & Becca received a yellow card the following day they were both immune from the vote meaning they could not be voted for but could cast a vote against another couple The yellow card had to be given to any of the other couples and with four votes Timo & Val received a yellow card. With the most amount of votes so far at the time in the series with a vote from nearly every couple except for Raymond & Glenys and Sam & Charlie after convincing the other couples to vote for fellow couple Amanda & Nicki.
