Sincera Page

Hello Eekster. Im curious as to why you gave me a final warning for my edits. I own the copyrights to all the work and have permission to use all files/media content. I manage the CEO of Sincera Media Solutions which is the page I created. If we could resolve this that would be great. Thank you Bogey99 (talk) 02:27, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You have quite a history of copyright problems. That's why you got the warning. Eeekster (talk) 08:01, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Eekster, What must I add/write in the wiki page to comply with the copyright issues?

Thanks Bogey99 (talk) 00:34, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Eeekster,

You have posted a speedy deletion of DePuy ASR Hip Recall In Ireland because it uses content appearing on the mccarthy.ie website. I confirm that I am the author of the material contained on that site and that I authorise its use on Wikipedia.

Regards,

re:File:Balaur boondoc.jpg

I am not sure how to classify the copyright as I do not have any experience with figures from academic journals. Also, is it more appropriate to select only a part (the most instructive) of the figure in this case? Thanks, Nergaal (talk) 03:03, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There's a list at Wikipedia:File copyright tags/Non-free. Eeekster (talk) 03:12, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Eeekster,

Following my contribution this morning, I have just seen your message regarding the "speed delation". To prepare this text, I have taken as an example the description of other brands like Piaget, Baume et Mercier, Chopard... to respect the rules of Wikipedia. For me, the Bedat & Co text is factual as requested and there is no promotional terms.

Could you please explain to me what's wrong and how I can change the text to be in accordance with the Wikipedia concept?

Thank you for your help.

Best regards, Sophie —Preceding unsigned comment added by SophieCF (talkcontribs) 13:42, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re: File permission problem with File:SudhaPennathur.jpg

Sent verification of Release from Pennathur.com/ Designs by Sudha (DBA Sudha Pennathur) to permissions@enwikimedia.org. I appreciate the catch of this and informative notes so I could correct my error. If my actions aren't sufficient to get clearance I would appreciate further feedback. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:SudhaPennathur.jpg

Thank you for your report about Chestertouristcom (talk · contribs) at Wikipedia:Usernames for administrator attention (UAA). However, your report was removed as UAA is for name policy infringements that are serious enough to warrant an immediate block. General name policy violations should first be discussed with the user on their talk page. A helpful template to do just that is {{subst:Uw-username}}. Note that a request for comment can be filed if the user disagrees that their name is against the username policy, or has continued to edit after you have expressed your concern. You may find the UAA instructions helpful, and I'd recommend reading them over prior to making future reports to UAA. Thank you. Indian cabinet ministers

Hey, I know most of the Indian cabinet minister pages are stubs, but some of them are not and none of them should be.

Would you have any problem with me reverting all your redirects from the minister pages to the ministry pages? I could talk more about why I think the stubs should remain and not be merged if you question this. Blue Rasberry 17:04, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why do we need minster pages? Eeekster (talk) 21:28, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  1. Because there is precedent for other countries, such as in these examples.
  2. Because stubs are useful without merging and encourage other editors to add to the articles. See WP:STUB.
  3. Because India is a world power with an educated citizenry who are highly computer proficient, and I think I am justified in having a reasonable expectation that the amount of content to be found justifies separating the minister articles from the ministry articles.
Is this sufficient reasoning? If not, why not? Blue Rasberry 05:48, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

underexposed

what are you talking about on file:black and white golf ball..jpg Inka 888 03:20, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm talking about it being under exposed. The white golf ball isn't. Eeekster (talk) 03:21, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe elaborate on that a little. Thanks, Inka 888 03:38, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Elaborate how? The white golf ball is gray instead of white because it was underexposed. There's not much more to say. Eeekster (talk) 03:40, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
thats what i meant. Inka 888 21:49, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It is a picture of a golfball with an effect on it so it is meant to look that way. Kind of artistic. Inka 888 13:33, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know what is wrong with a brown golf ball. Maybe explain why that is bad on wikipedia. Inka 888 04:51, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

copyright issues with File:KIMO TRANSOMIK BC1.jpg , File:KIMO TRA U2 mL Gruppe.jpg, File:TRABC.jpg

Dear sir

, i have the complete copyright over this picture (i am not the creator) so what is the procedure to 'make it legal ' i have stated the source and the creator , so what else is needed

How do we know if that is true? Eeekster (talk) 10:29, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Armana Reign

Why did you mark it for speedy deletion? - Orangemohawk 2:05AM September 4, 2010

For the reason given in the tag. Eeekster (talk) 02:07, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Why delete it? Its an article about a band that has released albums. - Orangemohawk 2:20AM September 4, 2010
Lots of bands have released albums. That doesn't make them notable. Eeekster (talk) 02:22, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
What do i need to include to prove they're notable? - Orangemohawk 2:32AM September 4, 2010 —Preceding undated comment added 02:32, 4 September 2010 (UTC).[reply]
Ok i found the notability part at Wikipedia:MUSIC, and it does meet #1 and only 1 is required. - Orangemohawk 2:55AM September 4, 2010 (UTC)
I do not agree that it meets #1. Eeekster (talk) 03:17, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Warning editors who repeatedly remove file deletion notices

Hi Eeekster. I think you might find {{subst:Uw-idt1}} helpful in the future. Regards, FASTILY (TALK) 03:01, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I didn't know about that one. Eeekster (talk) 03:03, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Quickly Speedying S4C 2009 Idents

I'm declining the speedy: the user was probably going to expand it, as you tagged it literally one minute after it was created. Try to give people a couple hours to expand in cases where the subject is possibly notable. NativeForeigner Talk/Contribs 17:00, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re: File:RDKeyes_Monterey_Coast.jpg

Hi Eeekster,

I have updated the file description page with the copyright info you requested. Please let me know if this is not sufficient.

Thanks, Jevid

Hello Eekster, I added the Hilda Morley images with the permission of the photographer. He has since rescinded his permission to use the images on Wikipedia. I do not understand fully the directions on how to delete them or to provide the reason. If you can delete them, I think there are two versions of the same photo, I would greatly appreciate it. Wikipedia needs a tutorial on this. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Hilda_Morley_.jpg Thanks, jdblee —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jdblee (talkcontribs) 02:54, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Put {{db-author}} on the description page. Eeekster (talk) 07:10, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
