On August 13, 1997, at 10:22 a.m., GLENTEL Inc., through its new trade banner WirelessWave, introduced a new marketing approach to the purchase of a cellular phone by offering consumers their personal choice of cellular network provider, phones, accessories, and calling plans all in one store.
