His most well known work was "Marvelous Bob", a web-published story based on the conventions of comic book superheroes, but with a distinctively realist, postmodern style. Set in a world in which many individuals had been granted various super powers, it stars a "superpowered" individual named Bob, or Marvelous Bob, whose powers greatly exceed those of everyone else. Bob breaks certain "hero" conventions: he has no hesitation in killing when necessary; he refuses to disguise himself or his identity, wishing only to live a normal life; and he often resents the citizens who need and demand his constant help.
He took his life the day of his 25th birthday after opening a time capsule he created for himself at the age of 12.

Michael was also co-creator of the webcomics "Dr. Lobster", "Gamer Hotties", and "Wrench Farm", all of which were joint projects with his friend Jeff Lofvers.

He took his life the day of his 25th birthday, not long after a break-up with his girlfriend.
