Amazin' is the fifth studio album by American rapper Trina that was released May 4, 2010 in North America, earning positive reviews from most music critics.

Background

Amazin' features collaborations from Nicki Minaj, Keri Hilson, Lyfe Jennings, Monica, Diddy, Flo Rida, Kalenna of Dirty Money and Shonie.[4]

In an interview with BET about her fifth studio album, Trina stated

"My fans can expect to embrace my versatility and growth, professionally and personally. I am truly excited to share my new album with my fans. I worked with wonderful artists..." "It is a blessing to be a woman in the hip-hop industry to be able to put out a fifth album under my career."[5]

An album preview was held on February 19 where critics were able to preview 10 of the 15 tracks to make the album.[6] Many critics complimented on the album's preview stating "Amazin' is catered for the dance floor – something that Trina stated she wanted to hear when she’s getting her sip on at the club. Though we only heard a few minutes of each track, it’s a lot less explicit than usual fare – a sign that Trina might be growing up."[7]

The albums official cover art was revealed on March 26, 2010.[8]

For unknown reasons the vocals of Lady Gaga, who also co-wrote "Let Dem Hoes Fight," were replaced by Kalenna of Dirty Money. Trina also will have a VH1 show in the fall called The Baddest Chick and has perfume called Diamond Princess out now.
