Ovingham Middle School is located in the village of Ovingham, Northumberland, England. It has served the villages Ovingham, Stoksfield and Wylam for around 30 years. In that time it has built up a reputation as being an excellent school, with lots of success in school sports event. It currently teaches approximatley 360 pupils, including two disabled pupils.

Science | Science is one of the schools strong points. The school has excellent top ste pupils. The also go the extra mile when helping the environment. The have done loads of schemes to help the school become an eco school. The science department is lead by Mr. Oliver Pusey. |
English | English is another of the schools strong points. The English department is led by Mrs. Newton. For one lesson a week, the year 7 and 8's have a group reading lesson. They have read many fantastic books such as Once by Morris Glieztman.

Mathematics | Maths is also a strong point for the school. The department is led by Mrs. Kemp (on maternity leave). |
ICT | The school uses the best I.C.T. equipment available. It has a wireless network.
Recently, the school bought I.T. equipment for making animations. This lead to the start of an animation club for the years 6 and 7. |
Technology | The school has a new food tech room and a woodwork room. |
New Developments

New Head Teacher
The school has just got a new head teacher. He is Mr. N. Jones. He takes over from Mrs. Williams, who retired just after Christmas.
Care takers Retirment
Mr. Innes has recently retire from being the schools caretaker.
New Improvements to Facilities
In recent years, a new reception area and food technology block have been built. The food technology block was completed in 2009 using a government grant. They have recently bought some new computers to replace the ageing ones in the ICT suite.
Sports
Ovingham Middle School has had a long and distinguished reputation for sporting excellence in Northumberland. They have won many compotitions, locally and nationally. They have teams in may sports and have achieved the sportsmark status for their rewarding commitment. [2]
Clubs
Ovingham Middle School has many lunchtime and after school clubs. These include but is not limited to: Choir, Jazz Club, Doctor Who Club, Football (For all years),Table Tennis, Basket Ball, Five-a-side netball, Animation Club, and much more.
