RJ TextEd is a Unicode text and source code editor. It is also a simple web development tool. The editor uses syntax definition files to recognize keywords, tags, strings and other items for syntax highlighting in the source. The editor is also able to handle and detect Unicode.

The editor can use auto completion and hints to assist you in editing your source code. You can preview HTML/ASP/PHP code using one of the preview tabs or open a document in a browser. The editor does not only handle source code. It also handles true ASCII files, binary files and of course plain text files.

The editor uses language files to display menus and dialogs in different languages. There are several included languages. New language files can easily be created in the editor.

The "File Commander" is a file manager tool and an FTP client. Use it to manage your home site and upload new code and files.

A syntax file editor is included to help you edit or create new syntax definition files. These files hold information about keywords, tags or other words to highlight. They also hold information about auto completion lists, hints and what is shown in the user menu.

RJ TextEd interface is based on the MDI with tabs for editing multiple files and better open document manipulation.

The software is packaged ready-to-run, so that no installer needs to be run, and it is portable.
