In the historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Lady Wu's fictional sister: Wu Guotai plays an important role in the marriage of Liu Bei and Sun Shangxiang, indirectly destroying Sun Quan and Zhou Yu's plans to kill Liu Bei.
