Wow, good catch!
I would have thought that ol' Mr. McGregor and his garden would have had himself an article a long time ago. Goes to show that there are still a few glaring red links on this site ven after you think you'd gotten them all. :) --PMDrive1061 (talk) 07:55, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

Method of printing discussion at Mrs. Tiggy-Winkles GAN
I was just looking through the FAC for Edmund Evans, one of the premier colour printers of the Victorian era, and this caught my eye:

I know it would be considered original research to extraoplate from that, but the illustrations do look very similar. Just thought I'd mention it, in case it might open up any new avenues of research for you. Malleus Fatuorum 18:01, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

GA review for The Tale of Jemima Puddle-Duck
:I've just finished the GA review for The Tale of Benjamin Bunny as well. I really like your Potter articles, and I noticed you've got another at GAN, but I don't want to overwhelm you with too many reviews to deal with at once, else I'd have landed you with that one as well today. == Thanks for your review of The Tempest! ==

Hi Susanne,

Just wanted to drop you a note and thank you for your very thorough and helpful GA review of The Tempest. Quite apart from merely appreciating the effort, I must also say your review helped in such a lot of ways to improve the article, catching things I don't think the regular editors of the page would ever have caught unaided. And I learned quite a bit while looking up the details of the MoS too, which is always useful. Anyways, to the degree I can presume to speak for the rest of the regulars on the article, I'm sure they'd all join me in saying: Thank you! --Xover (talk) 23:38, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

How thoughtful of you to write! I look forward to seeing the article listed at FA very soon! Susanne2009NYC (talk) 23:40, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

These are overdue from me
Hello,

Thanks for taking 5 Beatrix Potter articles I created and left at stub status under your wing and running with them, especially in getting 3 up to GA status and continuing to work on them. I don't need to worry about these ones anymore! Looks like you are nominating articles that are too short. For DYK, articles must be 1,500 characters of prose or longer. This tool will give a character count. Copy and paste text into it and click on "calculate characters" to get a count. Congratulations on The Story of Miss Moppet making Featured Article!

:Thanks for your kind words - I was very glad to help, but think you deserve pretty much all the credit. I wasn't quite sure what you meant by sending a gold star my way, then I saw your post on Karanacs' talk page (which she has replied to there). :Hi. In addition to the form letter, I just wanted to note that in addition to straight copying from the source (e.g. "Baldwin achieved the highest number of votes of any of the party’s candidates, but modestly claimed that this was because of the 'alphabetical effect', with his surname being listed close to the top of the ballot paper. He left the SPGB in 1978, but returned after a split in the party in 1991. His allegiance was to the “reconstituted” party based on a group of members of the Camden and North West Branch."), there also seem to be issues with close paraphrasing. "His mentors were crowd-attracting speakers such as Tony Turner and Harry Young." (from the article) is not sufficiently rewritten from the source's "His mentors were speakers such as Tony Turner and Harry Young, whose oratorical skills attracted large crowds." So that our articles do not constitute derivative works, we must use the information we get from our sources to write articles completely in our own words, except for brief, clearly marked quotations (in accordance with WP:NFC). The exception here is that when we can prove that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, we can copy for it if we properly attribute that copying in accordance with Wikipedia:Plagiarism. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:26, 16 November 2010 (UTC)

::I'm afraid that Jean Tyrrell was taken from the same source and also constitutes a problem under our copyright policies. I have had to blank it as well until it can be replaced with a rewrite in temporary space or until permission is provided. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:30, 16 November 2010 (UTC)

:::Per your request, I've deleted them both. Meanwhile, it seems Leslie Linder (film producer) is also a problem, with content from . I'll be happy to look at Don't Forget the Bacon!, but it's not going to be so simple, given that it relies primarily on print sources which I may not be able to access. Meanwhile, do you know of any other articles into which you may have copied content? --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:53, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
: Thanks! You can delete all that stuff. I just thought I was being useful by filling in some Wikipedia spaces! :) Susanne2009NYC (talk) 13:59, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
::I understand. But the problem is, of course, that we can't take it if it is copyrighted. Do you know of any other articles into which you may have copied content? If so, we really need to get those articles rewritten or deleted. We run the risk of damaging copyright holders and also our content reusers. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:01, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
