Matthew Mayora (born on 10 March 1986 in Sydney) is an Australian football player who currently plays for Lautoka F.C..

Club career

He was crowned the 2009 NSWPL Golden Boot winner with a haul of 15 goals in 20 matches[1] by Sydney Olympic[2]

On August 13, 2009 Mayora signed a six week injury cover contract with Perth Glory after impressing in a trial.[3][4] On August 16, 2009 he made his A-League debut for Glory against Wellington Phoenix, coming on in the 88th minute.[5] It was reported he would sign with Indonesian Super League club Persipura Jayapura on September 15, cutting short his loan to Perth Glory.[6] On October 27 it was decided by the Indonesian club, that he was surplus to requirements and was dropped from his 1-Year contract.[7] He failed to impress several clubs in some trial sessions during pre-season of Indonesian Super League 2009/2010 with Persipura Jayapura who he played a full game for in a cup match. On 11 February 2010 announced his return to his former club Sydney Olympic.[8] After reterning to Olympic, Mayora went to Uruguay and trialled for an unnamed club, who offered him a contract, however due to personal reasons he declined.

According to the Fijiian local news Mayora signed for NFL club Lautoka F.C..[9] Mayora made his debut for the club in the 2010-11 OFC Champions League matchday one game against Koloale FC Honiara and scored both goals in their 2-1 victory.[10]

International career

However he has expressed interest in playing in Uruguay, as his cultural heritage is Uruguayan.[11]
