Darah sof: Is a Distract of Samangan province. About 130 km away from the Ayibak city center of Samangan and 200 km away from the city of Mazar-i-Sharif. The total area of the district is about 4400 square meters. Large part of the valley surrounds by smooth hill.In these hills grown wheat (white wheat) every year cald ( Lalm للم) .about 1400 meters high from sea level . Sof Valleys has 130thousand population. The majority residents of valleys are Hazara nationalities . The Darah sof roaing river past from center darah sof kald Qalah sarkori. rivers has made the area very lush and beautiful. People have installed many small individual turbines extract drawn power from this sea. district has one high school 11 elementary schools, two active religion Madrasa . Uprising of darah sof peopal occurred in 15 March 1979 against the Democratic People's Party of Afghanistan government .After this date, the government fell up to 2002 mark and there was no public in place. The peopal of darah sof becom far from civilization and Appropriate economy.After the 2002 government order to use coal Valleys roads were noticed.Work flows currently planned between darah sof roads and Mazar sharif city. this project is based by Correa government. project working capital is $ 60 million. Sof Valley district recently divide to tow distract. Darah sof bala(sof up valley) and Dara sof paeen(sof below valley) . Daymrad and char dehi rural havelarg population becaus there is alarg number coal mining are available . Low rural population include chil dokhtaran, Sheikha, Cote Dai Myrdad , charqeshlaq, Ysql, mahdan tours, asht sabz, shoraab, Zeraki, Taqchi, Tangi Jacob, Naomid and Chkak .
