96.5 Bolton FM is a Community Radio station based in Bolton, UK. Its studios are located at Office 6, Ashburner Street Market, Bolton.

96.5 Bolton FM launched at 11am on 20 June 2009 at the One Bolton Festival launch event located Victoria Square, Bolton.

The station has several high profile connections including former Labour Whip Frank White as the station's former chairman and radio professional Darryl Morris as a Director and programming advisor. Carl Hartley is a former Programme Controller of the station, a position he held at former CN Group station Rugby FM. He's also had experience at Lakeland Radio, Tower FM, and The Bay.

Programmes

Kevin Gurney presents a Saturday evening show named Kev Gurneys Disco Days comprising some of the greatest music from the 80's and 90's and includes interviews with the stars of those decades. The show is also home to A Scouser In New York which features former Liverpudlian Michael Wilkins talking about some of the sights and sounds of New York.

Weekdays include Mark Daniel 9am-11am, Liam O'Toole between 1pm-4pm (except Friday) and Charlie Wallwork between 4pm-6pm

The "Sunday Juke Box" with PJ Mac at midday brings together the best from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Then from 4pm it's "The LA Connection" with Emperor Rosko. Rounding off your entertainment from 7pm on Sunday evening is Sunday Night Nostalgia where James Pilkington brings together "classic crooners, divine divas and musical memories for your delectation and delight" and Psychic Sundays with Janet Crawford between 9pm and midnight.
