Mare

Mare were a short lived Canadian band who fused Doom with dark Jazz. Band members Tyler Semrick-Palmateer[1] on vocals and guitar, Caleb and Scot on drums and bass. The first release of a Demo was re-issued on Hydra Head Records [2] as an EP [3][4]. Their music is of note for its mixture of Doom with unusual time changes, vocal acrobatics bordering on Gregorian Chant, and other melodic devices more akin to Jazz. They also feature one track called Night Goat on the We Reach: The Music of the Melvins compilation.
