Naya Nagar (Hindi: नया नगर), (Urdu: نیا شہر) is a well organised village having representation of almost all communities and a perfect example of Traditional & Cultural village.
Geography
Naya Nagar is located at 25°44′47″N 86°06′10″E / 25.7465°N 86.1027°E in Samastipur district.
History
Naya Nagar is a village with a glorious past. Bhumihar Brahmins are the dominant inhabitant of this village. It was founded by their common ancestor Shri Biranchi Rai sometimes during early 18th century who had blessings of a Moslem Fakir Rev. Khas Baba. The villagers still worship him at his mazar and pay respect specially during Marriages and Sacred Thread Ceremonies. Its a modern village which has always adopted change with open hearts. A perfect example is the present Mukhia of this Panchayat.
