Brett Alan Tucker (born 21 May 1972 in Melbourne, Australia) is an Australian actor and singer. The son of Ken and Janice Tucker, he grew up in the Yarra Valley of Victoria[1] with his three siblings - Nicky, Mark and David.[2] He attended the National Theatre Drama School in Melbourne and made his acting debut in a 1994 episode of Snowy River: The McGregor Saga. He is also known for his role as Daniel Fitzgerald in Neighbours.

Acting career

Brett is best known for playing Dave Brewer on the drama McLeod's Daughters. He apprenticed with a real country veterinarian to research his role.[1]

Brett's onstage credits include The Woman in Black in 2006.[3]

From 1999-2000 he played the role of Daniel Fitzgerald in Neighbours, a role which he returned to in late 2007. In June 2009 it was announced that he would be leaving the show along with his co-star Pippa Black (Elle Robinson).[4] Previous to Neighbours, Brett played Max in The Saddle Club.

Brett also had a minor role in the 2005 film The Great Raid.[citation needed]

In 2011 Tucker appeared in episodes of CSI New York and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

Personal life

His parents are Ken and Janice Tucker.[5]
