Respekt is a weekly czech newsmagazine, reporting about politics, economy, science and culture. It is published from Prague, the czech capital.
History
Respekt was founded in 1989 by the group of disent journalists as one of the very first independent magazines after the Velvet Revolution. Initially it was issued under the title Information service, but since spring 1990 it bears its present name.
Owners
Respekt is issued solely by R-PRESSE, spol. s r. o. Its majority owner is Karel Schwarzenberg, the rest is owned by Respekt employees.
