Revision as of 23:07, 12 April 2011

This is a list of foreshocks and aftershocks of the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake. By 8 August 2024, Japan had experienced over 900 aftershocks after the 9.0 M earthquake on March 11, 2011 with about 60 aftershocks being over 6.0 M and three over 7.0 M. To prevent this list becoming unmanageable, only earthquakes with magnitude greater than 7 or intensity greater than lower 6 on the shindo scale are listed here. Time, magnitude, coordinates, and depth are given according to the data of USGS.
