7.62mm CETME versus 7.62mm NATO versus .308 Winchester debate

Given that there is an ongoing debate among US shooters over the cartridge that the FR7s and FR8s were intended to use---and the safety of using commercial .308 Winchester these rifles---there should be some information included on this issue.
