Trolling
<small>Deliberately asking naive questions, straw-manning, and deliberately picking on non-issue elements of an opinion is trolling; it's an observable fact, not my opinion. It's also not my problem if you don't understand that. Haizum 21:49, 6 March 2006 (UTC) </small>(Deleted post restored.) Haizum 22:05, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

<small>I guess you don't mind breaking the rules (flat out deleting my entire post) when it suits you. Haizum 22:05, 6 March 2006 (UTC)</small> (Deleted post restored.) Haizum 22:50, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

Please see WP:TPG regarding the deletion of my comments for the second time. Please see WP:DFTT for Wikipedia's stance on trolling. Haizum 22:50, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

Nihongo: comma

I saw you tried to add a comma to the template. While I personally think that is quite understandable, the rest of the community thought it is a bad thing. If you want to see a comma anyway (even after having read the arguments against it) please change your user css as described on the help page. Yours sincerely, Shinobu 06:31, 27 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Wow!

You must have a big house. How do you fit a DS in your bedroom to act as an alarm clock? User:Noisy | Talk 10:52, 27 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I knew I should have added a smiley. You didn't click on my DS link, did you? I'm afraid there's a bit of a generation gap thing going on here. User:Noisy | Talk 23:32, 27 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

line under h2

If you really want to see a line beneath h2 headings on the , add

h2 {border-bottom:1px solid #000;}

to your Personal Stylesheet (if the skin you are using isn't classic, rename that link) dramatic 18:24, 28 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

An image that you uploaded, Image:Des carol 414x260.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Copyright problems because it is a suspected copyright violation. Please look there if you know that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), and then provide the necessary information there and on its page, if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.

Thanks for uploading Image:Densha_controller.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: TemplateName.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags.

Is there anything to stop me from removing the delete tag? I looked at the policy page but I see nothing to say I can't remove it myself. Gerard Foley 14:02, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the tag for this. It's a notable series of book, I see no reason to delete this, it should instead be cleaned up and expanded. --badlydrawnjeff (WP:MEME?) 14:36, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It's acceptable for anybody to remove the proposed deletion tag, including the author. (An article creator may not, however, remove speedy deletion tags.) Since the deletion is disputed, it will now be taken up at articles for deletion. Thanks! Stifle 15:12, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

On the Censorship Policy

I think we are going to have a censorship policy. I am not sure why I hesitate, but I have a feeling that we should take our time to get it right. What's another week if we manage to clear up this mess finally.

Q1: Since you mentioned in the talk page that you wanted to delete lolicion images, and I had read you as pro-images earlier, I was a bit confused. Did you want to remove all the images?

Q2: What is your take on my previous suggestion : 'if a single person can make a coherent argument that the picture adds needed information to the argument, i e a text is not enough , then the picture should, by policy stay' DanielDemaret 22:56, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tricky

It might be a bit trickier than I thought to get this policy with full support. Ok, 2 weeks then :) DanielDemaret 09:06, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps my new question might lead somewhere?

I was unhappy about a policy that did not change anything, but perhaps the policy might at least simplify things ? I have placed a question at the policy-discussion. Please see if you have any comments or answers to that. Or new ideas. :) DanielDemaret 22:04, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Then lets move on. Let us make this a policy, and see what happens. :) DanielDemaret 22:23, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

ok, how does one get a proposals to be a policy? Do you know?DanielDemaret 20:33, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

On your question regarding the proposed policy

As I wrote very recently, I am going watch a bit and follow the discussion passively for a spell, since I am not sure at the moment whether this proposal would make a difference. If you want me to take any specific action, whether it be discussing it or reporting it somewhere, tell me, and I will consider it. DanielDemaret 23:55, 4 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I think it will be corrected soon enough. Right now, I need sleep :) DanielDemaret 00:01, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

Cautionary note

Hello, I just thought you should know that you have violated Wikipedia:Three revert rule by thrice reverting changes to a proposed policy guideline: [1], [2], [3]. I am sure it was an honest mistake. I just ask that you try to be more careful and to remember that no-one ones the ability to control changes in a policy still under active discussion. Johntex\talk 00:34, 5 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your note. I may have made a mistake. Let me check into it again... Johntex\talk 00:44, 5 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry. I was wrong about my second diff above. You did not violate 3RR. I don't think Rgulerdem really did either, since I invited him to under my revert of him because he pointed out to me that he actually had discussed the changes he was trying to make. Cheers, Johntex\talk 00:50, 5 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
