As far as I'm concerned, that editor made no point, because he/she left no edit summary. It was poorly written. It was totally unclear what was intended. Vandalism may not have been the intention, but it was the effect. I am not a mind reader, but I do care a lot about the quality of Wikipedia content. Please don't blame me for others' illiteracy and ignorance of or unwillingness to follow policy. [[User:HiLo48|HiLo48]] ([[User talk:HiLo48|talk]]) 16:00, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

Jerezano

Hello Mr. Fyrael: This talk page is confusing. Is this the right place to talk to you? If so, I am using two accounts because Wikipedia would not recognize my Jerezano account and I had to create the Jerezano2 account in order to log in. I want to delete one and use the one which works, which seems to be Jerezano. Or at least that worked today (11th of March 2011). So I want to delete or resign or erase Jerezano2. How? Second: My article should be somewhere on the Zacatecas, Zacatecas,México page but I don't know how to post the user link to my user site there. And too, there doesn't seem to be a Zacatecas Cathedral site on that main page although it is on other sites. It probably should go on the Zacatecas Cathedral Architecture site, but again How? And another question: Why isn't the Zacatecas Cathedral Architecture site on the Zacatecas, Zacatecas, México main site? As you can see I am very confused. Thanks for the welcome and the response on my user page. As ever Jerezano or Jerezano2. Aha! I just found the signature and time stamp above. --Jerezano (talk) 00:52, 12 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As far as the two accounts issue, you can put {{db-user}} on the User:Jerezano2 page and it will be deleted, but if you continue to just use one account going forward then it doesn't really matter.
I realize the talk pages can be a bit confusing, but the general rule is to just post new responses at the bottom of the section you're replying to. There's an edit button off to the right of each section title (like the Jerezano section I added to this page). And if you want to start discussing a new topic, then you can use the New Section button, next to the Edit button near the top of the page.
Now, for the cathedral. So far as I can tell, there's no article for the Zacatecas Cathedral itself (by the way, is Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption in Zacatecas the same one?). There is a single paragraph that describes the cathedral in the Zacatecas, Zacatecas article. So if you think it fits, you could consider putting the information after that paragraph. Another option is to create a whole new article for the cathedral, but that is a much longer and more involved process. Also, I'm assuming that the following section is the part you wanted to add to the article:

"The American author Mrs. John Wesley Butler, in her book Historic Churches in Mexico tells us that the artist who designed the façade was French. This individual, condemned to death for some grave problem was able to get the execution postponed until he finished his work on the Cathedral. He was able to continue the work for twenty-one years, being watched constantly by custodians and sentries while he worked. Finally bored with such a life, he declared one day that he was ready to be executed. But because of his beautiful work on the Cathedral facade he was not executed but received a pardon. The neighborhood showered him with gifts and banquets in his honor. Yet he was not content and desired to return to France. Unfortunately when all was ready for his departure he suddenly died" -- Fyrefly (talk) 21:52, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Editing the search description

Hi Eric, thanks for reaching out. I was wondering how to edit the search for The Beat, which currently says "an american drama starring Jaszmin Lewis", I would like to expand it by adding the name Rahman Jamaal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hiphoppa13 (talkcontribs) 03:46, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm guessing the page you're talking about is The Beat, which is something called a disambiguation page. I had never thought of it that way, but I guess it is something like a search page. Anyway, you can edit that page just like any other, by hitting the Edit button near the top-right corner of the page, to the left of the search bar. Just try to keep that description short, as in no longer than a sentence. Also, I was kind of wondering why you added a release date of 2005 on the film's main page, when it seems to have come out in 2003. Good luck editing. -- Fyrefly (talk) 14:40, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Pica (disorder) has been corrected

Thanks for alerting me to the error in Pica (disorder). I checked out the article that section's based on and corrected "Visual screening, with eyes briefly for a short time after pica is attempted" to "Visual screening, with eyes covered for a short time after pica is attempted". —Zach425 talk/contribs 20:02, 31 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
