Welcome to Wikipedia, Styath! I am Marek69 and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! You write in that article that Spyker has closed the deal, but where have you got that source from? /Heymid (talk) 11:46, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that, must have forgotten it. But strangely enough, you added the source I got it from yourself when you added the line:
On 23 February 2010 Spyker Cars confirmed it has finalized the deal with General Motors Company to purchase Saab.
Styath (talk) 13:31, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
But that means they have successfully purchased Saab. What do you mean then that the status is currently unknown? No mentioning of that on the swedish Wikipedia. /Heymid (talk) 19:26, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have removed that part already. I actually ment that the company has not been formed yet. Styath (talk) 19:40, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
But then you can't write "was planned to be formed", because it has not been formed yet. "Was" means permanent information, but nothing is confirmed at this stage. Tell me what you mean. /Heymid (talk) 20:36, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It was my intention to say that the name change was planned to happen on the date of the closure. Since that date has passed, I replaced "is" with "was". But you're right, it might be confusing so I removed the text and edited the first sentence a bit. Styath (talk) 20:50, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

I appreciate your recent help at my user talk. Keep up the good work Tiderolls 04:12, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ID-kaart

L.tak (talk) 21:02, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

en ik had de kanaaleilanden losgekoppeld van de rest omdat ze geen onderdeel uitmaken van de EU, en de rest wel. Maar met deze formulering kan ik ook leven... L.tak (talk) 21:08, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ja het wordt best mooi he! :) Zeker door jouw toevoegingen.
Het is goed dat je dit vertelt, want zo had ik het niet begrepen. Ik snap wat je bedoelt en heb beide stukken aangepast. Gr. Styath (talk) 21:27, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oja dat over de council, je hebt inderdaad de European Council, de Council of Europe en de Council of the European Union. En dat zijn alle drie stuk voor stuk verschillende dingen. Bij PRADO staat "Council of the European Union" bovenaan de website. Styath (talk) 13:43, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Just to say thanks for fixing the spelling of IJselmeer in Bombing of Enkhuizen - I mistakenly "corrected" it because I hadn't come across the IJ digraph before. I'll know in future! Gonzonoir (talk) 14:12, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome! I'm glad I helped someone to understand :) --Styath (talk) 17:03, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Edit war at Gliese 581 g

you seem like a reasonable editor, could you put in your two cents about the vandalism going on at Gliese 581 g. 24.78.166.69 (talk) 18:49, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Papiamentu

Please don't make things inaccurate in a quest for consistency. Papiamentu is spoken on Bonaire, not Papiamento. The Dutch language doesn't make a distinction between the two, referring to them both as "Papiaments". The orthography is quite different, and the pronunciation is somewhat different.—Kww(talk) 19:32, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I see, I wasn't aware of this difference. I just thought that it was different spelling for exactly the same language. My apologies. I will emphasize this difference in the introduction of the Papiamento article. Styath (talk) 19:34, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sint Eustatius

I can't see the ISO document you cite. What does it say that would lead you to believe that a Dutch island uses an English spelling for its name?—Kww(talk) 20:08, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well it's there, you need to completely scroll down at ISO 3166-1: Newsletter VI-8. I'm relying on administrator The Tom's decision to rename the Sint Eustatius article to Saint Eustatius. I'm not saying that a Dutch island uses an English name, but the English name of whatever place is most commonly used on the English Wikipedia. Styath (talk) 20:16, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well, after all they decided that it should be "Sint": Newsletter VI-9. Chanheigeorge (talk) 16:54, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Lol, that's a petty but thanks for pointing that out :) Styath (talk) 18:40, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The Original Barnstar
For keeping a correct and consistent use of S(a)int Eustatius over tens of pages, even when the regulatory agencies seem to have been confused! L.tak (talk) 21:50, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Haha thanks! I'm crazy, I know it. Styath (talk) 22:00, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Jan van Beveren

I am unsure of where those sources are getting their information about Jan. I saw Jan 4 days out of the week and had a professional relationship with him, as he was our Director of Training for the Spindletop Select Soccer Club. I appreciate your concern about sharing only the truth about our beloved friend. Additionally, he is survived by his wife, who resides in Dallas, TX, and his son, however, I am unable to confirm, though I believe he resides in Dallas as well. Tomorrow, we will be hosting a memorial for him and his family. The funeral home that is handling his memorial is Broussards and they are located in Beaumont, TX. They have a website and have pending information on his services. Jan was loved dearly by all the girls whom he coached and mentored. They are simply devastated by his passing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Humanradio (talkcontribs) 23:07, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I sincerely appreciate your close relationship with mister Van Beveren, as do I appreciate your longing to share the truth as well. I can only wish to find a way to verify your identity. Fortunately, I have found a source (another Dutch newspaper) stating that he did pass away in Beaumont, so I adjusted the article once again and replaced all occurences of Houston with Beaumont, TX. I wish you all the best in these difficult times.
