The 2011 Winmau World Masters is a major televised tournament on the BDO/WDF calendar for 2011. It takes place from September 1–4 in the Hull Arena, which hosts the event for the first time, taking over from the nearby Hull City Hall.
Martin Adams will be defending his mens title for the third time having won the last three runnings of the tournament. Julie Gore is the defending ladies champion.

These were finalised on completion of the 2011 Swedish Open on August 19-21. The mens seeds are exempt until the Last 16 stage and cannot play each other until the quarter final stage[1].

Television coverage
The tournament will be shown in the UK by sports subscription channel ESPN who will be taking over from the BBC who broadcasted the last ten World Masters. ESPN will be broadcasting the last three days of the tournament.[2] The tournament will also be shown in the USA for the very first time with ESPN3 broadcasting it.[3] The event will also be shown on Eurosport and Eurosport Asia.[4]
