During a show in [[Dublin, Ireland]] in September 2011, Sally Morgan was accused of receiving information about her audience members from an offstage confederate, which she then repeated in her "psychic readings". Following a show at the Grand Canal Theatre on September 11th, several callers to radio network [[RTE]] reported that they had overheard a male voice relaying information to Sally from the control room at the rear of the theatre. A caller who identified herself as Sue said "The first half of the show went really well but when the second half started we could clearly hear a man's voice coming from the window behind us. Everything he said, the psychic would say 10 seconds later. It was as if she was having the information relayed to her."<ref>{{cite web|title= No happy medium as Psychic Sally 'sidekick' prompts outrage | date= 2011-09-13 | publisher= The Independent | url= http://www.independent.ie/national-news/no-happy-medium-as-psychic-sally-sidekick-prompts-outrage-2874250.html | accessdate= 2011-09-13 }}</ref><ref>{{cite web|title= RTE 'Liveline' Podcast - September 12th, 2011 | date= 2011-09-12 | publisher= Raidió Teilifís Éireann | url= http://www.rte.ie/podcasts/2011/pc/pod-v-12091117m02slivelinepsychic-pid0-1022352.mp3 | accessdate= 2011-09-13 }}</ref> It was later reported that the noise was actually coming from two follow spot operators that worked for the Grand Canal Theatre. They were talking through the second half which caused disturbance and an usherette at the theatre informed her manager and the two men were asked to be quiet. No formal complaints were made to the Grand Canal Theatre on the night of the show or since.

Sally Morgan (born 20 September 1951) is a British television and stage artist who claims to have psychic abilities.

Career

Morgan can be seen on the ITV2 programme Sally Morgan: Star Psychic, as well as the LIVING programme Psychic Sally: On the Road.[1]

In March 2010, she appeared on an episode of What Katie Did Next in which she investigated the home of British model Katie Price.

Sally has also filmed a biopic titled "The Psychic Life of Sally Morgan" which was shown on Sky's Bio Channel.

Sally Morgan's first two books became bestsellers, these were her autobiography 'My Psychic Life' published by Penguin in 2007 and 'Healing Spirits' which was published by Penguin in 2009. Her new book 'Life After Death' was released by Penguin on the 7th April 2011.

Criticism

Before Morgan did a reading for Big Brother winner Brian Dowling on ITV2 in 2007, she claimed she did not know him,[2] but in fact she knew him personally since she did a prior reading for him in 2005 as reported in the News of the World.[3] Regarding this she later said in a 2008 article for The Independent that "I did it because the director told me to".[4]
