The N. Murray Edwards School of Business, also known as the Edwards School of Business, or simply ESB is located on the University of Saskatchewan main campus in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The school began in 1936 as the University of Saskatchewan School of Accounting[3]. In 1943 the school was renamed the University of Saskatchewan College of Commerce. In 2007, the school was renamed after Canadain businessman N. Murray Edwards. Edwards, an alumnus of the College of Commerce, has held a longstanding relationship with the school, including making several charitable donations towards its improvement.

Programs

Undergraduate

The school offers a number of undergraduate and graduate programs. The main undergraduate degree it grants is the Bachelor of Commerce, or B. Comm. Students can specialize in one of six majors, in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Management, Marketing, or Operations Management [4]. Students choose their major in their 2nd semester of their 2nd year. If accepted into the major of their choice, they begin classes in their field of study at the beginning of their 3rd year. Additionally, undergraduate students may also partake in a co-operative education program during their 3rd year, which sees them undergo an 8 month in-field work placement.

Graduate

In addition to its undergraduate programming, graduate degrees are also offered. Edwards has a Master of Business Administration program, along with a Master of Science in Finance program, and a Master of Professional Accounting Program. Many of these programs are instructed at the schools downtown campus[5].

Certificate

The school also currently offers certificiate programs, including a Business Administration Certificate program, along with an Executive Business Adminsitration Certificate program, and an Aboriginal Business Certificate program[6].
